Covid-19 Client Protocol

We are making necessary changes to ensure the safety of our clients and our staff.  In an effort to be “contact free” –  please familiarize with the following:

Prior to your pet’s surgery please be sure the following has been completed:

  • Consent form was emailed to you when your appointment was made. If your appointment was rescheduled, a second consent form with the new appointment date was generated.
    • Please follow the instructions for completing and signing this form.
    • This form must be completed no later than 11:30pm the day before your pet’s surgery.
    • If you have any additional comments or questions, please email us at info@poaspay.org
  • Rabies Certificates should be emailed to us prior to your appointment at info@poaspay.org – we will not accept a copy in the morning – if you do not have a current rabies certificate, a rabies vaccine will be provided to your pet at no additional charge
  • Payments should be done via phone prior to your pet’s surgery or we will call you during the day when your pet is with us. We are attempting to have all payments via debit or credit but understand that cash might be necessary on a case by case basis
  • Carriers – We are only accepting hard-sided, secure, plastic cat carriers – your cat will be declined if in anything else (we are unable to disinfect cloth carriers.)
    • We are asking that NOTHING accompany your cat in the carrier – any items (blankets, towels, toys) will be removed and discarded
    • PLEASE LABEL YOUR CARRIER – Cat’s First Name, Your Last Name

CATS

Drop Off: Please form a line at the curb in front of the clinic, while remaining in your vehicles. When you see a team member, roll down your window for further direction!

  • A clinic team member will be outside between 7:45am-8:15am.
  • Please ensure that all carriers are secure before exiting your vehicle.
  • If you are running late we ask that you call us: 860-206-7922 – PLEASE do not approach or enter the building

Pick Up: Your discharge paperwork will be emailed to you when your pet has recovered from surgery.

    • 4:45pm Please form a line at the curb in front of the clinic, while remaining in your vehicles. When you see a team member, roll down your window and let us know which pet(s) you are picking up!
    • If you are running late we ask that you call us: 860-206-7922 – PLEASE do not approach or enter the building

DOGS

  • Intake: 8:30am Please remain in your vehicle with your dog in an available parking space.
    • If it is 8:30am or later, call 860-206-7922 to be added to the intake roster.
    • We begin taking dogs in for a pre-surgical exam between 8:30-8:45 and will call you when it is your turn and provide further instruction.
    • Only 1 human per canine at this time.
  • Discharge: 3:45pm  Please remain in your vehicle in an available parking space.
    • If it is 3:45pm or later, call 860-206-7922 to be added to the discharge roster.
    • We will call you back when we are bringing out your pet and provide further instruction.

 

Clinic Lobby – The clinic lobby is CLOSED to the public, we will not have public restrooms at this time. Please do not approach the clinic doors unless a team member has directed you to do so

If you have experienced any Covid-19 symptoms or have been in contact with anyone experiencing symptoms within the past 14 days, please inform us so that we can reschedule your pet accordingly.
